Lancaster Veterinary Specialties is a specialty veterinary hospital dedicated exclusively to the diagnosis and treatment of complex medical conditions in dogs and cats. Since opening in 2018, our hospital has focused on helping pets whose needs go beyond routine care.
Many of the families who come to us are worried, overwhelmed, or facing unexpected decisions about their pet’s health. Our goal is not only to provide advanced medical treatment, but also to help you understand what is happening and what your options are at every step.
We work closely with your primary veterinarian and remain in communication throughout your pet’s care so that treatment stays coordinated before, during, and after your visit.
Behind every treatment plan is a team that takes the time to understand the full picture — your pet’s medical history, current condition, and your goals for their quality of life.
Our veterinarians have completed years of additional training in specific fields of medicine and surgery. They collaborate with one another inside the hospital, allowing complex cases to be approached from multiple medical perspectives rather than a single opinion.
Dr. Stacy Santoro Binstock is a New Jersey native. She completed her undergraduate degree in animal science at Rutgers University in 1997 and continued on to earn her veterinary degree from Iowa State University in 2002. Following veterinary school, Dr. Binstock returned to New Jersey to complete a rotating internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital. She also works closely with primary care veterinarians to create a comprehensive care plan and support system. In her spare time, Dr. Binstock enjoys spending time with her husband and children, cooking, reading, outdoor activities, and exploring farmers markets and festivals. Dr. Compton has expertise in all aspects of surgery, including soft tissue, orthopedics, and neurosurgery. She enjoys perineal hernias, urogenital surgeries, TPLOs, patella repairs, and fracture repairs, to name a few. She encourages veterinarians to reach out to her to ask questions and nurture a team approach for mutual patients.
Dr. Compton enjoys spending her spare time with her family, 4 children, 3 dogs, and 3 cats. Specialty veterinary care is designed for pets whose conditions require deeper investigation, advanced treatment, and close collaboration. Our hospital is structured to provide both medical expertise and clear guidance so families can make informed decisions with confidence.
When a condition affects more than one body system, coordinated care makes all the difference. With multiple specialties working together under one roof, our doctors collaborate directly to create a clear, organized treatment plan—so you don’t have to travel between facilities. This streamlined approach minimizes delays, improves communication, and helps your pet begin treatment as quickly as possible.
Specialty visits are designed to be more in-depth than routine appointments. We take the time to thoroughly review medical records, explain findings, and walk through all available options so you feel confident in the next steps. Our team believes the best decisions happen when families truly understand their pet’s condition—and you will never feel rushed during an important conversation about your pet’s health.
Our goal is to support—not replace—your family veterinarian. After each visit, we share detailed reports, diagnostic results, and treatment recommendations to keep care seamless and coordinated. Every recommendation is guided by what will best support your pet’s comfort and quality of life, and we always take time to review alternatives so you can choose the plan that feels right for your family.
